Denison Montessori Preschool and Elementary Programs
The application process for this school is the same as for other DPS magnet schools. Prospective students apply before the end of January. Your child must be 3 years old before October 1st. There is no tuition charge for children in the Upper and Lower Elementary (1st through 6th grade) programs. Parents of children in the Montessori preschool program are charged a monthly tuition. A limited number of partial payment and scholarship plans are available.
Application requirements include birth certificate, proof of residence, your child’s immunization records. In order to apply for tuition assistance, you must also bring proof of income (W-2 forms or 3 most recent paycheck stubs for each working member of the family) at time of application. A lottery determines acceptance with the exception that siblings of students already attending Denison have priority. Returning students are enrolled at the end of the previous year.
Continuation of Montessori Schooling after Denison
DPS Montessori education for Montessori-trained children in 7th and 8th grade is held at Hamilton Middle School. For further information, call Hamilton at (303) 722-4633. Bus transportation is also provided to this DPS Magnet School.
